ABOUT
Fort Wayne Artists Guild, Inc.
Purpose:
The Fort Wayne Artists Guild is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization formed to promote interest in the fine arts, to further members’ artistic knowledge, and to encourage fellowship among members of the Guild and the Fort Wayne arts community at large. The Fort Wayne Artists Guild is a member of the Indiana Arts Commission and Arts United of Fort Wayne.

History:
The Fort Wayne Artists Guild was begun through the impetus of Jim McBride and 18 alumni of the Fort Wayne Art School. The first organizational meeting was on December 18, 1959 where they adopted the name “Fort Wayne Artists Guild”. Many of the early scrapbooks and records were ruined during the flood of 1986.
