Meet the Judge - David Slonim

Our judge this year is David Slonim, an Indiana artist, who paints semi-abstract interpretations of nature and writes/illustrates children’s books. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. His paintings are represented by galleries in Wyoming, California and Montana and are included in many museum and corporate collections.

When not at the easel, David regularly teaches workshops where students are allowed to work in their choice of oil, pastel, acrylic or watercolor. He encourages risk-taking in his students to take their work to the next level. He is often invited to speak to school, university and adult audiences about creativity.
